Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus 教授简介

学术经历：Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus studied chemistry at Bochum University where she received her PhD in 1978. In 1993, Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus was awarded a Heisenberg Fellowship and was hon-ored by the Baetjer Lectures of Princeton University. Since 1994, she is a Full Professor of Chemistry at Bielefeld University. She declined the offer to the Wu Chair for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Princeton University in 2005.

研究领域：Among Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus' research topics are combustion chemistry and combustion diagnostics, also her group investigates the principles of the deposition of nanomaterials from the gas phase. She is also active in the transfer of science to the general public and has founded the first school laboratory at a German university in 1999. For these activities she was awarded several prizes and the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by Federal President Horst Köhler in 2007.

国际学术职务：Prof. Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus is a member in scientific organisations and boards. From 2004 to 2007, she was a member of the Review Board and since 2007 a member of the Senate and Joint Committee of the German Research Foundation. Also, she is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Volkswagen Foundation, the International Advisory Board and the Selec-tion Committee of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and since 2008, member of the Senate of the Hermann von Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres. Further, she is a Fellow of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry and for the period 2007/2008, she is President of the Deutsche Bunsen-Gesellschaft für Physikalische Chemie. Regarding combustion research, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Interna-tional Combustion Institute since 2002 and member of the Board of the German Section since 2007. She is a member of the Editorial Boards of several journals as, for example, "Progress in Energy and Combustion Science", and since August 2004 she is Editor of "Combustion and Flame".
